Yesterday afternoon a policeman watching the surveillance camera monitors at the Hajdú-Bihar County Prefecture of Police noticed a tall, bald man in brown jumpers who was trying to steal a bike in Hunyadi Street.
A patrol was sent to the spot immediately and he found that the perpetrator had already left with the mountain bike he had stolen. The patrols searched the area and soon found the thief riding the stolen bike along Rákóczi Street. They stopped him, inspected his clothes and his bag and found pliers in it. After this, the patrols were informed that a person had reported to two other patrols that his bike had been stolen. The owner of the mountain bike was escorted to Rákóczi Street where he recognized his stolen property. The thief was arrested for theft.
